Description

Services

Spatio Mobility House offers a variety of services. The main service is transportation – Spatio Mobility House is located very close to Stockholm’s subway and bus system. Car and bicycle parking is also available.

Spatio Mobility House also offers stores, primarily grocery stores. This part of the mobility house is important for those living in Järla since the nearest grocery store is located in Nacka Forum, approximately 1 km away on foot. More information about the services offered can be found in Spatio’s Services.

The Problem

Despite the upcoming subway station, Järla faces several challenges.

One major issue is parking – residents and visitors struggle to find spaces, leading to frustration and unnecessary traffic.

Public transportation is also a problem. Buses run infrequently and do not reach key locations, making it difficult to travel without a car.

Additionally, there is a lack of grocery stores and small shops. Residents have to travel to Nacka Forum for their shopping needs, making everyday life more inconvenient.

The Solution

Our group has concluded that a mobility hub is the best solution to these problems. By creating a center for mobility in Järla, we can address several challenges at once. The mobility hub will offer plenty of parking spaces, making it easier to visit the area and contributing to a more vibrant center.

At the same time, connections to public transportation will be improved with better access to buses and the subway, making it easier for both residents and visitors to travel sustainably.

In addition, the mobility hub will include a grocery store, allowing residents to meet their daily needs without traveling to larger shopping centers. By adding small shops and other businesses, the hub will become a natural meeting place, making Järla more attractive to more people.

Reaching our final solution took quite some time. We conducted site investigations to find the best location for the mobility hub. The investigations began by identifying the most important functions of the hub.

Next, we searched for a location in Nacka Municipality where these services would be most valuable. This process allowed us to determine both the location of the mobility hub and what it should offer.
